Individual Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteering to help those transcending homelessness is a truly rewarding experience. Our volunteers play a critical role in helping AHI to empower men, women and children to end their homelessness through the provision of dignified housing and appropriate services.

Volunteer Requirements
A volunteer application and screening process is required for all long-term individual volunteers.

Volunteer Requirements
A volunteer application and screening process is required for all long-term individual volunteers.
- Maintain strict confidentiality about the men, women and children served by AHI.
- Be willing to work under the supervision of AHI staff or lead volunteers.
- For long-term opportunities, volunteer must make a minimum commitment of three months. All other individual and group volunteers will be matched with day, half day and shorter projects.
- Volunteers must be 18 years old to work at AHI properties.
- AHI accepts volunteers younger than 18, but volunteers must be at least 16 years old and have adult supervision. This exception requires prior approval from the Director of Supportive Services.
- Volunteering at an AHI property, requires that you have an Arizona state-issued Fingerprint Clearance Card.

- Interview with the Supportive Housing Director
- Complete the Volunteer Application and all the necessary paperwork
